DAY SEVENTEEN: INTERCESSION: PERSONS ENGAGED IN MENIAL JOBS

Hello and welcome to our seventeenth reflection. We are praying for our neighbours who engage in menial jobs. It sometimes is difficult seeing the nature of the jobs such persons undertake. Nonetheless, the truth of the matter is that many of us in the so-called higher places would not function effectively without their services. When I say menial jobs, I mean the domestic helps, janitors, cleaners, refuse collectors, porters, etc. I want us to silently reflect on the lives of these people. I want us to imagine a day in the life of these people. Today, we are praying for a heart of service for these neighbours. We are committing their families into God's hands: we are asking God to keep their families together....for the sake of their toil and to the Glory of His name. We are committing their children especially, into the blood of Jesus Christ. We come against any form of social vice that may seek to plague their lives. For the younger ones, we are asking Our Father to gr

DAY SIXTEEN: INTERCESSION: MARRIED LIFE

Happy Saturday to you! Welcome to day sixteen. The topic for our reflection today is the MARRIED LIFE. Our natural inclination, as social beings, is companionship. There is the part of us that seeks to find and keep a mate for life. We desire to love and be loved. We desire to share a strong connection with a special someone. We desire to have that partner whose child we would love to father or mother. And yes...we do find that special someone. Today, we are making Intercession for the married life. 1. We are asking Our Father to be the centre of our marriages. 2. We are pleading to Our Father to help us to remain faithful to our spouses. 3. We are praying for wives to be submissive to their husbands just as the Church is to Christ. 4. We are praying that husbands will love their wives just as Christ loves the Church and gave His life for Her. 5. Finally, we are seeking the Counsel from the Holy Spirit in order to train our offsprings in the fear of the Lord and in His lo

DAY FIFTEEN: INTERCESSION: CHRISTIAN WOMEN IN MINISTRY.

Welcome to our fifteenth day dear one. We are reflecting on Christian Women in Ministry today. Our nature as women gives us the ability to sense more than the average man could- some call it the sixth sense. We, as women, have been blessed with the ability to see far and hear even the inaudible voices of those around us. Our abilities go as far as we hearing what is hidden in the deepest parts of Our Father's heart. There is so much our Lord Jesus Christ wants to show us if only we would avail ourselves and come nearer to Him. If you are not yet in Ministry young lady, it is time to arise! Today I want us to pray these prayer points in earnest. 1. We are praying for a total commitment to our partnership with the Holy Spirit. 2. We are asking the Holy Spirit to help us yield always to His prompting and to always seek to carry out His bidding. 3. As Christian Women, we are praying to God to grant us the Spirit of Wisdom to apply whatever we read in His Word to our daily liv

DAY FOURTEEN: THE CHURCH IN GHANA

Hello and welcome to day fourteen. I am very sorry for posting late today. Shall we please reflect on the Church in Ghana. I am using Ghana because it is the land of my birth. You may apply the reflection for today to your country as well. Our Father says in 2Chronicles 7:14 that, " If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land ". It is time for the children of God to arise and intercede for their land. The general acceptance of sin in our land and the proliferation of evil casts a dark shadow on our lives and questions whether there indeed, are Christian men and women in our land. Today, I need you to tell yourself that as a child of the Most High, you will not sit and watch the evil one take hold of the land of your birth. I also plead that you make it your daily goal to intercede for your nation and her lea

DAY THIRTEEN: HUMILITY

Hello and welcome to our thirteenth day! God bless you for your faithfulness in reflecting with SHARING LIFE. Whiles praying today, I was prompted on the life of Jesus Christ in relation to the topic for our reflection today. You see, Jesus Christ was a man of humility. I believe that when you know who you are, you don't go about claiming things for yourself or trying to prove or disprove the notions of others. Jesus knew where His home actually is. He knew that He is King. He knew He is the fullness of wealth itself. He knew all that the Scriptures said about Him while on Earth. He didn't have to prove to anyone that He was mighty or capable of healing the sick or raising the dead. He only walked in the will of His Father and He did all that we read in the Bible and even more. Personally, I see pride to be the the actions exhibited by a person who does not know his or her true identity. When you know who your Father is you don't seek the Glory of men. When y

DAY TWELVE: INTERCESSION: MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL

Welcome to day twelve of our forty-day retreat and reflections. Happy birthday to my sister and coworker in the vineyard of God, Miss Berengar Irene Duku! It is always a joy working with you. Today I want us to reflect on the lives of the Ministers of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is an honour to be called to serve in the House of the Lord. It is quite unfortunate that recent events around the world have raised concerns about the authenticity of the shepherds leading the sheep o f today's church. When Jesus comes in His Glory, the works of these Ministers will be tested through and through. It will be very disheartening to know that you have laboured in the vineyard of God yet on the day of judgement, Jesus will say to you that He didn't know you. Ministry is the call to service. Ministry is the call to selflessness. Ministry is the call to totally relinquishing one's personal desires and will into the Hands of a Sovereign One. Ministry is the call to

DAY ELEVEN: INTERCESSION: TEACHERS, LECTURERS, PROFESSORS, ETC.

Welcome to day eleven! I hope you had a good start to the week. Educational institutions serve as places of socialisation for its members: these are the places where transfer of knowledge and some attitudes are passed down to students and other members. I've had different kinds of teachers growing up: those who told me I was inadequate, those who made sexual advances at me, those who punished for no apparent reason, among other things. I've also had those who made me love school, those whose words touched my life, those who were concerned about my total wellbeing and not just concerned with me passing their exams . We've had those teachers whose actions have made a negative impact on the lives of their students. Aside parents, the role of teachers cannot be overlooked or shunned. Today I want us to pray for the teachers and the agents of socialisation in our educational institutions. We are praying for a heart of love for our teachers. We are praying for a sense of

THE RESOLVE

Hello, happy Sunday! We will be continuing with day eleven of our reflections tomorrow. I want to share life on a topic I call THE RESOLVE. This is something I'm sure many, if not all, of us will relate to. When I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart and to be the Lord of my life, I wanted to let go of the many vices that were in my life. I attended Christian events and took part in formation programs to enable me become a better person. To my disappointment, every time I went back home, those were the times when I would hurt my parents the more. Every time this occurred, I always would wonder why I kept on hurting the people that loved me the most. This made me question the presence of Jesus in my life. ... It happened for years... Then this year happened... In the early days of this year, I attended a camp meeting [I'll tell you all about the camp some day :-) ]. It was at the camp that the Holy Spirit enlightened me by making me know that to live for Him

DAY TEN: FAMILY LOVE

Welcome to the tenth day of our reflections. Happy birthday to my prayer partner Belinda Dzifa Asem. God bless you abundantly for being a sister and a trusted friend. Today we are sharing on family love. What comes to mind when you see or hear the word FAMILY? For some of us it brings to mind bitter memories of our childhood. Some of us on the other hand beam with smiles when we recall fond memories of our childhood. Regardless of how bitter the childhood of some of us was, it does not change the role the family plays in the life of all its members. Today I want us to commit every family into the hands of God. For those of us with bitter memories of growing up, I want us to recall how we felt within that period and intercede for families: praying for an overflow of God's love in the hearts of every family member. For those of us with fond memories of our childhood, I want us to pray that God will grant families in the world the gift of experiencing the same love that we

DAY NINE: INTERCESSION: WOMEN OF IMPACT MINISTRY

Hello, welcome to the ninth day of our forty-day retreat and reflections. Thank God it's Friday! We thank God for seeing us through to the end of the official working week. I want us to look at a ministry I've come to know: that is the Women of Impact Ministry. The aim of this ministry is to raise up godly women....women full of God and whose lives are purposefully lived for His Glory. This is my humble message to every Christian lady and gentleman reading this piece today. I know there is a burning desire in your spirit to startup a ministry: it could be a visitation ministry, a care ministry, an Intercessosry ministry, a children's ministry, even writing a book. There is a desire within you to break away from the fear of failure and leap into this ride of faith with the Holy Spirit. Believe in God. Have faith in His ability to keep you from falling. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and just start. Things might get shaky when you start but don't grow faint.

DAY EIGHT: INTERCESSION: BROKEN HOMES

Welcome to day eight. Have you ever had a friend from a broken home? Or have you personally been a victim of a broken home? How was the feeling like? Growing up, I had a bestfriend from a broken home. I remember how she'd come to school almost every morning with tears and scars all over her body. It's sad how her life turned upside down from the effects of the confusion in her home. To God's glory, she has picked herself up and is working towards her goals. I become very proud of her every time she comes to mind. Beloved, many are the people who are silently going through heartaches in their homes: they come out full of smiles but behind closed doors, they are going through so much suffering and overwhelming pain. I want us to passionately intercede for such families in the name of Jesus Christ. If you know anyone in this kind of predicament you can mention their names as you pray for them. 1. We are asking God to take His rightful place in the homes of such pe

DAY SEVEN: THE CLOSET LIFE

Hello, welcome to day seven of our forty-day retreat and reflections! I was watching the movie WAR ROOM some weeks ago. After watching the movie, I decided to reflect on my life drawing references from the movie I'd just seen. I began to understand the reason for my struggles with myself. I'd been so busy trying to fix myself that I'd lost sight of who my Creator is and His ability to make changes in my life according to His will and purpose for me. I understood that He is the only One I am to share my deepest fears, my weaknesses and my frustrations to. I understood, by the help of the Holy Spirit that He was the only One who can give me strength to go on with my life. I also felt the Holy Spirit calling me to a closet life. A life of constant communion with Him. A life of independently depending on God. A life of total trust and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Today, I want you to ask yourself... 1. Do you desire to experience the Holy Spirit for

DAY SIX: PRAYERS FOR CHRISTIAN STUDENTS

Hello, welcome to our sixth day of reflections. I am very sorry for being late today. I hope I'm forgiven. I was privileged to visit a senior high school last weekend to share the Word of God with the students there. The leader of the interaction talked about Holiness, drawing reference from 1Peter 1:15-16. As I studied the countenance of the students, I realised the confusion on the faces of some of them. When I had the chance to speak to them, I asked them whether following what the Scripture said was difficult and they responded in the affirmative. Reflecting on my personal experience in an institution of higher learning, I dare say that it's indeed difficult to live Holy. Especially in this era when almost everything is good and right if it's "okay". Truth is, I actually had a course mate confess to me some days ago that he thought I didn't have feelings at all because of my way of life. Hmmm... Today, I want us to pray that: 1. Christian Stude

DAY FIVE: PRAYERS FOR CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

Welcome to day five of our forty-day retreat and reflections! How was the weekend? I had a challenging one- but God is Faithful. Today, we are praying for Christian ministries in the world. The Christian ministry, is what I call the service to God which we are all mandated to render unto the Body of Christ. It is a humble call to service. Today, we are praying that: 1. The Lord will show us where we fit in the Body of Christ. 2. Through the Word of God, we may know the blessings and giftings He has lavished upon us for service in His Church. 3. Existing ministries will work with the direction of the Holy Spirit and always walk in step with Him. 4. All Christian ministries will be efficient in this end-time harvest. 5. Intercessors will intercede with compassion. 6. Counsellors will advise in love. 7.  Ministers will save in fear as stated in Jude 1:23. 8. Christian ministers will be loyal in the Lord's vineyard. May God bless our work in His vineyard. It's still

DAY FOUR: UNDERSTANDING THE AGAPE

Welcome to day four of our forty-day retreat and reflections. I want us to reflect on the Agape love of God. Shall we please read the thirteenth chapter of Paul's first letter to the Corinthians: " I f I speak in the tongues [ a ]  of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.   2  If I have the gift of prophecy  and can fathom all mysteries  and all knowledge,  and if I have a faith  that can move mountains,  but do not have love, I am nothing.   3  If I give all I possess to the poor  and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, [ b ]  but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4  Love is patient,  love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.   5  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,  it is not easily angered,  it keeps no record of wrongs.   6  Love does not delight in evil  but rejoices with the truth.   7  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8

DAY THREE: STREET EVANGELISM

Welcome to day three of our forty-day retreat! God bless you for your faithfulness in observing these reflections. Some friends of mine have decided to share the Good News of Our Lord Jesus Christ with the people of Madina in Accra, Ghana today. This is a blessing to those who will be ministered to as well as those who have availed themselves to be used by the Holy Spirit to bless the souls of the people of Madina. Glory to God! Today, I want us to reflect on all that the Good Lord has done for us: the many blessings He lavishes upon us and even the Gift of Life itself- which many of us take for granted. What is preventing you from sharing the Word of God with your neighbour? Why is it so difficult to tell someone about Jesus Christ? We pray this day, that The Holy Spirit will grant us the boldness we need in order to zealously share the Gospel of Jesus to others. We also pray that the Holy Spirit will teach us how to share Him with others. Tell a neighbour about Jesu

DAY TWO: PRAYERS FOR CHRISTIAN WOMEN

Welcome to day two of our forty day retreat. I hope yesterday's reflection was enlightening. Today, we are praying for Christian Women all over the world. Genesis 3:15 says, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." We see right from this verse of Scripture that the battle against the forces of darkness have existed from the beginning of creation. The good thing is that Jesus Christ came to defeat the devil and give us dominion over the enemy. As women, it is our place to believe in the victory won for us by Christ Jesus and fight the works of the enemy against our seed. Today we are praying that: 1. The Holy Spirit will teach us how to fight the devil. 2. We, as women, will know our place in the Body of Christ and be effective and efficient in our duties to the Church. 3. God will call us to a closet life of Prayer and Intercession for our families and the lan

DAY ONE: CALL TO FELLOWSHIP

KING NEBUCHADNEZZAR I have been studying the Book of Daniel for some days now.  I was reflecting on the third chapter of the book when the Holy Spirit pointed something out to me last night.  In verses 28 & 29, we read,  Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel  and rescued  his servants! They trusted  in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.   29  Therefore I decree  that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble,  for no other god can save  in this way.” WOW!... After reading this, I was glad that Nebuchadnezzar had come to a knowledge of the power of God.  Then I thought to myself, 'If that were the case, why did he still turn into an animal?' The Holy Spirit m

APOLOGIES

Hello Everyone! I am very sorry for my inability to keep you updated on my thoughts and the lessons I am receiving from the Holy Spirit. Please forgive me.... I am truly sorry. For the next forty days, starting from today, I, with the help of the Holy Spirit, am going to take you on a journey of reflections. The purpose of this is to build up our spirits and to awaken the spirit of intercession within us. Please try as much as possible not to miss any of the days. You can also share your thoughts on the various reflections, as you are led to. I also, will try my possible best to give you the daily reflections per the instructions of the Holy Spirit, my co-labourer in the Lord. My prayer for you in these forty days is that your thirst for God will grow and grow each day. In Jesus' name! God  bless you as you go on this journey with me. It's still SHARING LIFE. Let's start sharing...

HOW YOU SEE HIM

When I was younger, I saw God as a distant being somewhere who was in charge of ensuring that my family was protected at night from armed robbers. I saw God as the one who made sure that I passed my exams. I didn't see Him as someone whom I necessarily had to talk to......but I prayed. Yes...I prayed about my food, I prayed that I would remember what I'd learnt before putting everything on paper for my exams and I prayed because I was told that prayer is good. To me, I was the 'OKAY' Christian. I went to church on Sundays and sometimes, during the weekdays. I prayed before and after meals. I could say my 'please' and my 'thank you'. I mean...I was OKAY....not bad and not entirely good. Somewhere along life's journey, my OKAY life began to turn upside down and I needed a hand Greater than mine and that of any human to help me stand erect and still. I needed God... The same God I had sidelined to just two tasks.....(He actually did the

THE WEDDING NIGHT...

Truth be told...entering into a beautiful relationship which leads to marriage is the dream of every single individual. It's pretty exciting, especially on the wedding day,  when you finally get the chance to explore all.....and I mean ALL of the crazy things that for the sake of obedience to God's command against fornication, you've said NO to. Total bliss isn't it?.... Before long,  the honeymoon becomes another topic to be discussed; the romantically exotic sights are mentioned, locations are considered,  hotels are booked and the body is psyched up for a jolly good time! Well......that is the plan... Anyway...  This is my take on the wedding night...  The wedding night and the marriage bed is a very spiritual activity and not so physical as it is thought to be.  This is the night where the real BLOOD COVENANT that we always talk about actually takes place.  This is the night where the blood of two different people, now joined as one
