Movie review: Overcomer (2019 movie)

My friend, Victor Ayertey, recommended the Overcomer movie to me yesterday. I just finished watching this movie and there are so many lessons to take away from this movie but as usual, I do not intend for this to be a spoiler alert. I just find a number of lessons in there worth sharing... and yes, some pretty pretty great laughs too😂...which I won't be adding.  I want to share the main message I sensed in the movie but before I get to that main point, let me give you an appetizer. (I've been cooking a lot in this lockdown so pardon me if food is still on my mind whiles typing this😅).    I have learnt that disagreements may arise in marriage but communication is key. There is a nugget of Wisdom to be picked from Amy Harrison's approach to handling the disagreement she had with John. I really like how she found a way of communicating her heart concerning her husband in a way that wasn't so direct (although direct) yet conveyed the message of how she felt. She

The Cost for Following the Lord

I have been reading Rick Joyner's "The Path" for a few days now.  It is a book I would recommend for anyone, honestly.  There is this part of the book that speaks about "God Trails" and how the Lord leads us to answers to the questions we ask Him.  Don't forget, Holy Spirit, Who Is God, Is our Teacher and He delights in teaching us His Word and about life in general.  The concept of God trails is that God leads us on paths towards His answers for us. They do not really focus on the answers as much as they do on the paths/journey/processes leading to those answers.  I believe I just had one of those moments and looking at the time (1:27am) I just thought to share this with you before I don't.  Here it goes... There have been many times where I have heard Men and Women of God talk about the "cost of following the Lord". Some call it the sacrifice, others call it the price.  As a young woman, with the personal desires that I have, I

"No matter how far you've gone, come back."

I want to add my voice to the many prophets who are announcing the Lord's redemption especially in this COVID-19 era.  I sense strongly God calling the Church and humanity back to Himself. Yes, the enemy may attack us but God has proven in His Word how capable He Is of turning every evil thing around for our good. He Is faithful to His Word.  Today, I came across Amos chapter 4 verses 6-11 and I saw how in pestilence and many other outbreaks, the Lord had used such avenues for His beloved people to come to Him yet they never seized those moments.  Let me show you God's love... God knows that human as we are, we will feel guilty to come to Him in our sin and so He allows for hardships to come our way just so that we can have a REASON to return to Him.  God loves us.  It is the same reason why in this season, we must seize this opportunity to return to the Lord. God Is asking us to come to Him. It doesn't matter how far we've gone. It doesn't matter how

It will not be boring

I wasn't one of those people who are overly excited about eternity.  I honestly thought it was going to be extremely boring saying "Holy Holy Holy Are You Lord...". It was too monotonous  and I couldn't imagine people doing that same thing forever. Not until this moment! I burst out in prayer, while making breakfast for my family, and I was caught up in pure worship of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  It was the purest and most fulfilling and most self-aware encounter I have had. I believe He made it so just so that I could understand what and how eternity is going to be like.  There is this overwhelming sense of fullness and fulfillment you'll experience in His presence.  It fills you up to the point where it feels like your spirit will burst open or spill over.  In that moment, He just made it clear and He spoke, "It will not be boring".  Let me add, it will be the most incredible feeling you will ever have. Words fail me.  You will be full. You
