Losing my life daily

Reading "The Final Quest" by Rick Joyner changed my life.  This book was a journey for me and it led me to really really look within myself. One day, I will pour my thoughts and experiences out...(perhaps in a video format or something. Let's see how that goes). I came across a portion of the book which touched on the subject of service and love and the fact that love does not seek its own. That knowledge struck a chord in my heart because I know what that means and I understand that it calls on me to sincerely strip off my selfish desires for the greater good of others. I then understood the concept of dying to self in a deeper way. Whiles reading this book, I was at the same time searching for insights on important spiritual principles for Christian living when I came across an old post by trurnbacktoGod.com (which you can find here:  http://www.turnbacktogod.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/10-Spiritual-Principles-For-Christian-Life.pdf  ). There is conviction in the process

My initial caption for this post was, "There is peace in the process". Well, that was before I came across Tom Terry's post on Preach It Teach It, which you can find here:  https://www.preachitteachit.org/articles/detail/i-have-a-peace-about-it-or-do-i-gods-will/   We are all on a journey. We are all taking different courses but as Christians, our Way Is One and the destination is the same for us all. This means that the conditioning that Holy Spirit will take us through will differ for each of us but the goal will be the same. I had wanted to use the concept of peace in the process but upon further reading, and thanks to Tom's post, I discovered that the peace that came to mind in that instance was the place of emotional stability or emotional stillness on a matter (well, isn't that what most of us mean when we talk about having a 'peace' on a matter?).  Upon further introspection, I believe that what I want to really address is on conviction (whic

Good intentions are not enough

I met my two very best friends during my undergrad in KNUST. I loved them to bits and they were always looking out for me and my interests. They still do and there is one question they won't stop asking...which is very normal. Haha😄 Back in school, we had sleepovers, ate together (from a big bowl), visited each other, talked at length, studied together and were very involved in each other's lives.  We believed that the best thing to do was to live together for our final year...we had very big plans of how living together was going to be like. And we did move in together. My, we were in for a shocker! We had some very distatsteful times whiles living together...and it was that bad even to a point were I wondered whether we would last the year and still be friends after school. Living together was a test but also a clarion call on me to step up. In the final months to graduation, we realised by Daddy's Grace that in our relationsh
God loves His children. That is why He places in our hearts good thoughts towards His children, which would produce good works towards them. And, as we do these good works, Daddy gives us the fulfillment that comes with this act.  We have a knowing that the joy and fulfillment which we experience are in effect, a privilege because we are reminded that it is a gift to be placed in the position to give to others. Father please help us, even in our seemingly purest of intentions to do good to others, to remember that such positions are a gift and a trust. Lord, please help us to not take this for granted. Please, Father. We have to realise that we are nothing but avenues of His Love to His creation. There is no good thought or deed in us that we hold claim to as being from us. It is God Who gives us these thoughts and these pure intentions.  Father, what good thing have we that was originally from us? You Are the Source of all that is Good and Pure. Please, help us to

"Thy Kingdom Come"

Today, I share my thoughts on a subject I have been pondering on for close to a year. The Kingdom of God A year ago, I believe I heard Daddy tell me to pray that His Kingdom come. Although I did commit the assignment to prayer, I still did not understand what it meant and in time, I stopped.  In the Gospels, Jesus Christ talks a lot about the Kingdom of God. In the Lord's prayer, He included it in the prayer when He said,  "Luke 11:2-4 King James Version (KJV) 2  And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come . Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3  Give us day by day our daily bread. 4  And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil ." (stress mine) Today, I decided to read around this to get understanding on this concept. I was listening to a podcast by desiringgod.org and in it, Jo

"Testing the waters"

There is a crop of people in the Church who have still not grasped the whole concept of 'no sex before marriage'. There are those of the opinion that it is 'safe' to test the 'item' so that one 'does not buy something that is inferior'. This is wrong. Sex is not something to be taken lightly.  The fact that others are 'testing' does not mean you should also- even if you have a few days or hours to say, "I do". What most of us fail to realise is that sex is not just about two people coming together physically to have intercourse. It goes beyond that. Sex does not only involve the exchange of body fluids but also the intertwining of spirits.  Daddy created us for intimacy with Him and just us worship joins our hearts and entire faculties to Him, so does the act of sex brings us into closer union with a sexual partner. Sex is the highest form of intimacy between a man and a woman. The ability of a man and a woma
