Do not miss your way Pt. 1

Oftentimes, we live our lives thinking it is just us and no one is watching... or maybe, even taking notes. We downplay our worth and importance thinking that there is nothing about us and we have nothing to offer anyone.

Some years ago, Holy Spirit taught me a lesson on one of my trips with my dad, which I want to share with you today.

We were on our way to Anomabo (in the Central region of Ghana) and we got to this Kasoa-Buduburam stretch which, if you are familiar with that road, has cuh_razy traffic!

And because we were behind time, we knew we had to use different routes to get ahead. So this is what happened:

Because we weren't familiar with these diversions, we knew the best thing to do was to tail the public buses that were plying the route. Free advice: if you don't know a route, follow a "trotro" 😄 On this particular day, I don't know why all the bus drivers were driving so fast. After a while, we lost the bus we were following and we had a private car ahead of us (he/she is the reason we lost the bus, tbh 😒). Because the driver couldn't keep up, he lost the bus ahead, and then we got to a junction where we had to either take our left or keep moving forward.

Now because he couldn't tell where the bus passed, he had to make the decision for all of us behind him because at that moment, he was our compass. So he took his left... and we followed the car.

Well, to cut a long story short, we ended up on a path that took us back to the main road we had driven so far to avoid 😂😂😂 BRRUH!

To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. It was a mixed bag of emotions and my dad and I ended up just laughing about the whole thing. But mehn, it wasn't funny!

In that moment, we got quiet and Holy Spirit began to teach me this:

1. Never think you are alone in this life and that your life has no value to anyone.

He taught me that to someone, my life might be the only example or blueprint they may have, to keep on a path. For someone, you may be the only example they have. You represent the example of what is possible and what may not be. You are the only torch that is lighting the path of a dark alley for someone.

2. Let me add that as you move and grow in this life, don't forget to look back. Maybe if you did, you would see the many people who are looking up to you in their lives.

3. And as you live this life, make sure, ultimately, that you are following the right person, compass or guide. Recognize the lives at stake. The lives and families attached to your destiny and how much your towing the right path will lead them to success. I do not mean to lay a hefty responsibility on you. The truth is, you are not meant to carry it all by yourself, though.

So today I leave you with a consciousness.
Do not belittle your importance.
Do not think there is nothing about you of value to another.
ABBA did not create us to live a siloed life. He created us for community.
And, a part of community is in understanding that your life isn't just for you only.

Remain blessed,
Mary Magdalene.

Go With God

When I started Sharing Life, my intention was to put out what I knew Holy Spirit was teaching me. This was what He asked me to do. It wasn't to parade myself as an all-figured-out girl who was on her way to becoming a preacher.  It was a journey of life I was learning and one which I had received the go-ahead to let the world in on.  Somewhere on this road, I was seen as a "Woman of God" and put on this high and mighty pedestal which wasn't me.  And you know what, in such moments, it is so easy to get carried away by the accolades of men to the point where you lose sight of your journey, where you are and decide to serve the expectations of others... thereby neglecting your own journey and growth.  After taking a very long break from active writing, I have on numerous occasions attempted to start writing again but the fear of being put on that pedestal has stopped me so many times.  I am a child of God. I am a girl on a journey. I don't have it all f...

My journey with Holy Spirit

This might probably be the longest I will ever publish. Here we go... Senior High School I started my relationship with Holy Spirit in St. Louis Senior High School. At that time, my father was going through a bit of a struggle and I didn't want to be a burden to him. I had made a terrible decision to combine my chopbox with a friend's and when my provisions finished, I couldn't call home. I was sad and I remembered that daddy had told me that if I ever wanted to change and be a better human, I should start by reading the "Book of Proverbs".  I came across Wisdom and I prayed for that Friendship and then someway somehow, I believed that I was never alone and that I had a Friend with me and that was when I starting fellowshiping with Holy Spirit.     Prior to this, I remember when I was in class 6, I heard Someone share His heart with me. He asked me, " Why is it that when people have problems, they tell their friends about it and then their fr...

3 Things I Admire About King David

Hello Sharing Life fam! How is the going? I hope everything is kosher. One of the things I am most thankful for is to be a member of the Word & Spirit Feasts family. At the Word & Spirit Feasts, we have learnt how important structure is as we endeavour to be all that ABBA has called us to be. One of the principles that make a good spiritual structure is Bible Reading. I just finished 1Kings Chapter 2 and would like to share 3 things I admire about King David. 1.       King David did not entertain guilt and condemnation I have learnt that one thing the devil specialises in is condemnation. He is the accuser of the brethren for a reason. His commitment is in ensuring that we stay feeling bad for wrong done. One thing my spiritual father would say is: the devil will accuse of not doing the right thing and when you do the right thing, he will accuse you that it is not enough. That is what he does best. But, we see in 2Samuel 11 tha...
