3 Things I Admire About King David

Hello Sharing Life fam! How is the going? I hope everything is kosher. One of the things I am most thankful for is to be a member of the Word & Spirit Feasts family. At the Word & Spirit Feasts, we have learnt how important structure is as we endeavour to be all that ABBA has called us to be. One of the principles that make a good spiritual structure is Bible Reading. I just finished 1Kings Chapter 2 and would like to share 3 things I admire about King David. 1.       King David did not entertain guilt and condemnation I have learnt that one thing the devil specialises in is condemnation. He is the accuser of the brethren for a reason. His commitment is in ensuring that we stay feeling bad for wrong done. One thing my spiritual father would say is: the devil will accuse of not doing the right thing and when you do the right thing, he will accuse you that it is not enough. That is what he does best. But, we see in 2Samuel 11 tha...

"No matter how far you've gone, come back."

I want to add my voice to the many prophets who are announcing the Lord's redemption especially in this COVID-19 era.  I sense strongly God calling the Church and humanity back to Himself. Yes, the enemy may attack us but God has proven in His Word how capable He Is of turning every evil thing around for our good. He Is faithful to His Word.  Today, I came across Amos chapter 4 verses 6-11 and I saw how in pestilence and many other outbreaks, the Lord had used such avenues for His beloved people to come to Him yet they never seized those moments.  Let me show you God's love... God knows that human as we are, we will feel guilty to come to Him in our sin and so He allows for hardships to come our way just so that we can have a REASON to return to Him.  God loves us.  It is the same reason why in this season, we must seize this opportunity to return to the Lord. God Is asking us to come to Him. It doesn't matter how far we've gone. It doesn't matter ...

Rejecting the King I

" Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,  And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.  But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord .  And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them .  1 Samuel 8:4‭-‬7 KJV" I remember when the above Scripture text came alive in me and Daddy (God) gave me the privilege of experiencing how He felt when the people of Israel rejected Him because they wanted to be like the other surrounding nations. I felt so sad. I heard His words and I felt the sadness behind each word. Yesterday, I went for choir rehearsals (yes, by God's Grace, I have braced my fears). Something happened that ...

COVERED

Hey there, God bless all those who consistently pray and commend the work of the Holy Spirit through us. Sharing life is very grateful. On Sunday, a young lady approached me in tears with a genuine concern. Her concern was the fact that she had gone forward for countless altar calls yet, she still felt that the change she sought to see was not evident. To me, that was a beautiful heart speaking... I know some of us have experienced this before. Perhaps you reading this right now are battling with a similar concern. I will tell you what I was directed to tell her. God is working inside of you. Many times, we expect to become 100% Holy when we accept Jesus Christ. It takes time. The Holy Spirit has to work from within you before He brings everything to light. The mere fact that you are concerned about this issue is a testimony to the work that He is doing inside of you. He has to cleanse your heart and your mind: these two will influence all your actions and t...
