There is a family I have known for a couple of years now.
Very recently, they were privileged to own a self-contained
apartment. This was a giant leap from the single-room apartment they had lived
in all the while.
Like normal expectation, I figured that they would move into the
apartment right away but that wasn’t to be so.
I saw them re-paint the building… then it was followed by the fixing
of cabinets, then the carpets, furniture, etc.
All these took
time.
I was wondering why they had kept so long in getting the apartment
ready.
I felt that since they had waited for so long to get the place, they
may as well get the refurbishing done quickly… like in a week or two so that
they could move in.
Lord forgive my
thinking.
In my contemplation, these thoughts were impressed on me.
Sometimes and
many times, actually, what we have been searching for may be right in front of
our very eyes but the thing is that it is just not ready for the taking.
Let me bring it
down to the issue of relationships (male & female relationships).
So you’ve been
wondering where your earthly king or queen is.
You keep asking
yourself, “why has it taken so long?!”
My answer is,
“Be patient”.
For the life
the two of you have been destined by God to live, it requires that the both of
you are properly prepared to handle your destiny together.
You need to
develop virtue; renew your fellowship with God and His Holy Spirit, live out
the will of God for your life as a single person, among other things that the
Lord will build in you.
It may seem as though it is taking too long a time for him/her to
come.
Please be patient as you allow God to work in you and complete His
work within you.
Trust me when I say that in time, as the Lord begins to reveal
certain vacancies and shortfalls in your life that require His touch and
growth, you will be glad he/she isn’t in your life in this moment.
Yes, it takes time.
But see, if the family I was talking about had moved in quickly
without renovating the house, they would have been frustrated without the
needed items.
The same
applies to you.
Without God taking hold of your life and building you up, the
insecurities you may have within you may push your king/queen away.
Aside that, let’s reflect on the other people we gave a place to in
our hearts… let’s reflect on the pain and wounds their presence and exit caused
in our hearts and minds.
Let’s look at the scars which we are not proud of showing to anyone…
scars which remind us of our shame…
Only God can fix us and make us whole in order that our joy would
not come from the presence of another person but rather, from the presence of
God in our lives and His Hand upon us.
God loves you
and He will give you the very best if only You will allow Him to build you up
into the man or the woman He has created you to be.
It is very
possible with God.
Cheers to waiting for God’s best!!!
This is still #SHARINGLIFE
