DAY THIRTY-TWO: THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL.

Welcome to day thirty-two.

Let me ask you these set of questions:

How would you feel if you loved someone so much and the person didn't love you back?

How would you feel if you gave a particular person all the attention yet he/she just didn't seem to notice your endearing?

And...

How would you feel if you made the whole world know that that particular person is very special to you and still, this person wouldn't even acknowledge your very existence?

The people of Israel are God's very special people.
Although they carry so much value in the eyes of God, they are still far from God and not in a relationship with Him. I am talking about the kind of relationship as is desired by God Himself.

There is a lot we can learn from the relationship between these Two.

Before I get to that, let me ask you another question:

When a sibling of yours is at loggerheads with your father, how do you, as the other sibling, handle it?
Would you wish that they continue in this bitter relationship or would you push for reconciliation?

I believe that a characteristic of love is to wish for the happiness of the one that is being loved.
If that is truly the case, then we as Christians and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ must push for the reconciliation of the People of Israel to God the Father.

When you study the Scriptures, you would notice the depth of God's love for the people of Israel.
As you go through, you might say that God was quite harsh in His dealings with them.

But if you read further in the Book of Revelation, you would realise that God only chastises those He loves.
If that is also true, which it actually is, then you would understand how much God loves these people.

It is further stated in Scripture that God says that at the end of time, He will gather all of Israel to Himself.

We need to pray for the conversion of the People of Israel back to God Almighty.
We need to pray for the people of Israel to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the true Son of God.

Let me tell you this:
Yes, it is true that the People of Israel are God's special people.
Nonetheless, I want you, my dear Child of God, to know that you are in no way less in the sight of God.

WHY?

The death of Jesus Christ on the Cross has made you worthy of being called God's special person as well.

As Children of God, I want us to realize that we have been clothed in Christ.

Being clothed in Christ therefore means that if God acknowledged Jesus Christ as His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased, then it also is right to say that indeed, you are also the beloved Son or daughter in whom He(God) is well pleased.

Never forget that being clothed in Christ makes us His special people too. This is because we have chosen to live for Him and to fix our hearts and minds on Him. With this in  mind, we can believe the statements in Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 for our lives.

When we reflected on Humility some weeks ago, we shared that a part of Humility is living lives of service to others because we know our true worth in Christ Jesus.

Our Humility should be seen in our ability to intercede on behalf of the people of Israel.

Please do not forget to remember them in prayer when the Holy Spirit prompts you.
Believe me, He is more concerned about the conversion of Israel more than any one of us is.

God bless you abundantly for sharing your time to reflect with us today.

Father, please help us live for You and shine so bright that our lights may attract the people of Israel to return to You.
Amen!

It's still SHARING LIFE.

Don't stop sharing life!

Go With God

When I started Sharing Life, my intention was to put out what I knew Holy Spirit was teaching me. This was what He asked me to do. It wasn't to parade myself as an all-figured-out girl who was on her way to becoming a preacher.  It was a journey of life I was learning and one which I had received the go-ahead to let the world in on.  Somewhere on this road, I was seen as a "Woman of God" and put on this high and mighty pedestal which wasn't me.  And you know what, in such moments, it is so easy to get carried away by the accolades of men to the point where you lose sight of your journey, where you are and decide to serve the expectations of others... thereby neglecting your own journey and growth.  After taking a very long break from active writing, I have on numerous occasions attempted to start writing again but the fear of being put on that pedestal has stopped me so many times.  I am a child of God. I am a girl on a journey. I don't have it all f...

Day eleven: The Authentic Hgh

This morning, I was pondering over a video Tabitha Brown posted on instagram  a few days ago ( link here ). In her video, she was talking about how people were always sending her Dms to tone down on how much she speaks of Jesus in all her work. She said a lot of meaningful things which you will find in the link I have attached.  My Quiet Time last week Friday was sourced from Timothy 4:8 which reads " For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things,  holding promise for both the present life  and the life to come. " It was a super "Aha" moment for me because I found a scripture from the Bible which assures me that I will profit a great deal from my resolve, to live for God, both in the now life and in the life which is to come. How cool is that?!  Now that the premise for today's post has been laid, let me tell you what the authentic high is all about. This is going to get personal... it is the only way I can properly relay the mes...

Day twelve: My Shepherd

I was reading the book, "In Him" by Kenneth E. Hagin and in the book, he wrote: The Lord Is my Shepherd. I do not want. I do not want for ability. I do not want to strength. I do not want for money. I do not want for anything. The Lord is my Shepherd.  These words by this man ministered life to me and it got me thinking: So often, we find ourselves reading Psalm 23 and it is easy for us to just look at those words exactly as they are in the Bible without translating them into our present circumstances and the seasons in which we find ourselves.  The angle provided by Kenneth Hagin has shed light on who Jesus really is as my Shepherd.  He is not the kind of Shepherd who wants to be irrelevant in the affairs of His sheep.  He very much wants to be a part of it.  Consequently, as a Shepherd who sees to it that His sheep lack no good thing, He remains committed to ensuring that all our needs and lack are provided for. It says, there is nothing I shall want .  W...
