HERITAGE

To be honest, I cannot put words to all that has happened today.  I just know that something life-changing has taken place on the inside of me and I want you to know about it... (no, I am not pregnant please 😂)  What is a "heritage"?  The Oxford dictionary defines heritage as:  a person's  ethnic  or religious background; the countries, cultures, religious groups, etc. that a person's parents or  ancestors  come from. Knowing this, I ask you, "What is your heritage?" Who are you and where have you come from?  Today, I find my answer in Revelation 5:9-10 9  And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll      and to open its seals, because you were slain,      and with your blood you purchased for God      persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10  You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,...

Blueprint

When I started Sharing Life, the mandate was simple.  It was at a time when I knew that Holy Spirit was laying heavily on my heart to share with the world all that He was teaching me.  It was a blog highlighting my walk with the Lord and the journey He was taking me on.  Over the years, I noticed that I had been put in the "preacher" "woman of God" "evangelist" category and a few of my readership were seeing me in that light. It is not a bad thing at all but sincerely, that was not my intention.  With this perception came an unconscious expectation to live up to that tag I had been labeled by. To be clear, it wasn't the reason I shared my lessons in the past but looking back, I can say that the many times I failed to write or share with the world what I was learning was because in many ways, I felt I did not measure up to these labels. So, I stopped sharing my life's experiences with the world.  Listen, on so many occasions, I prized the opinions...

Day twelve: My Shepherd

I was reading the book, "In Him" by Kenneth E. Hagin and in the book, he wrote: The Lord Is my Shepherd. I do not want. I do not want for ability. I do not want to strength. I do not want for money. I do not want for anything. The Lord is my Shepherd.  These words by this man ministered life to me and it got me thinking: So often, we find ourselves reading Psalm 23 and it is easy for us to just look at those words exactly as they are in the Bible without translating them into our present circumstances and the seasons in which we find ourselves.  The angle provided by Kenneth Hagin has shed light on who Jesus really is as my Shepherd.  He is not the kind of Shepherd who wants to be irrelevant in the affairs of His sheep.  He very much wants to be a part of it.  Consequently, as a Shepherd who sees to it that His sheep lack no good thing, He remains committed to ensuring that all our needs and lack are provided for. It says, there is nothing I shall want .  W...

Day eleven: The Authentic Hgh

This morning, I was pondering over a video Tabitha Brown posted on instagram  a few days ago ( link here ). In her video, she was talking about how people were always sending her Dms to tone down on how much she speaks of Jesus in all her work. She said a lot of meaningful things which you will find in the link I have attached.  My Quiet Time last week Friday was sourced from Timothy 4:8 which reads " For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things,  holding promise for both the present life  and the life to come. " It was a super "Aha" moment for me because I found a scripture from the Bible which assures me that I will profit a great deal from my resolve, to live for God, both in the now life and in the life which is to come. How cool is that?!  Now that the premise for today's post has been laid, let me tell you what the authentic high is all about. This is going to get personal... it is the only way I can properly relay the mes...

Day ten: KNOCK

God’s word tells us that when we knock, the door will be opened to us. What doors have you attempted t knock at? Is it a door of prosperity? Is it the door of good health? Is it the door of joy? Is it the door of love? Is it the door of employment? Is it the door of a good home? Is it a door of forgiveness? What doors do you need opened unto you in this season? Worry not: Jesus assures us in His Word that “for every man who knocks, the door will be opened unto him”. So what are you waiting for? Go back in prayer and knock! Only this time, you are walking into prayer with greater assurance because you know that door will surely open to you. Hallelujah!

Day nine: SEEK

I came across Proverbs 25:2 some weeks ago and this has become my anthem Scripture… together with Jeremiah 29:11-13. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing and the glory of Kings to search them out. The Book of Jeremiah also tells us that we will seek Him and we will find Him if we seek Jim with all our heart. Beloved, all we know about God is not all there is to know about Him. There are greater depths in Him we are yet to uncover. And He Is more than willing to show us if we are truly willing to finf Him. God Is our Daddy but God also wants friends. Will you be that friend today? “ Lord, I want to seek You. Not because I have a need or because I do not want to miss Heaven or my purpose but I genuinely want to seek Your heart as a friend. I want to know You. I want You to trust me with Your secrets and with Your heart. I really want to know You. Not so that   will be revered by man or to receive the applause of men. I truly want to know You that I may know what makes yo...

Day 8: ASK

What is it about us which sometimes makes us feel we are asking too much from God? Scripture tells us to ask so that our joy will be full. This tells us that God really wants us to be happy. I think on most occasions, we already have an answer to the prayer on our lips or hear: NO, God will not do it. This is too much. The devil is a liar! Today, I choose to ask and to ask BIG! I don’t know about you but rather than sitting behind this desk and typing all the words and you sitting, standing or lying down to read, I am going to Him to ask BIG! Talk to you tomorrow!
